Osteopathic Manual Practitioner Registered Massage Therapist

1. Kristie is a Graduate of Brock University the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. She wrote her thesis on “The Effects of Global Osteopathic Treatment on Pelvic Girdle Pain in Postpartum Women”. Kristie has extensive training in Pregnancy and postpartum treatment and is very experienced in treating a wide array of ailments. Kristie prides herself on working with her clients to help them reach their goals. During your Massage Therapy Treatment Kristie will use a variety of Swedish massage techniques as well as advanced techniques including Muscle Energy, Joint Mobilizations, Myofascial Techniques, Trigger Points etc. Kristie is very proud to be an Uxbridge resident and looks forward to assisting clients on their road to feeling better!

Chiropractor

Dr. Sophia Ferguson is a licensed chiropractor raised in Uxbridge, Ontario. Her love of athletics and passion for health led her to obtaining a degree in Kinesiology from Western University and played rugby for the women's varsity team. From there she decided to further her education and obtained her Doctorate from New York Chiropractic College. During her time at New York Chiropractic College, Sophia developed a deep passion for prenatal and postpartum care. She saw the missing gap in healthcare for this population and decided to make it her mission to raise the standard of care for women. She integrates a combination of diversified chiropractic techniques, myofascial release techniques, rehabilitation exercises and patient education to provide optimal health and wellness. You will be supported from preconception all the way to postpartum and after including care for your new baby. Sophia has additional training for prenatal, postpartum and pediatric population. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA, www.icpa4kids.com). While Sophia is specialized in prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care, she welcomes everyone to her clinic. In her spare time Sophia enjoys powerlifting, playing rugby, walking the trails and spending time with friends and family

Registered Acupuncturist

Born and raised in Uxbridge, Sage moved to Halifax Nova Scotia to attend

Dalhousie University achieving a BA in Political Science and Chinese Studies. From

there, her interest in Chinese culture took her to China for a year where she experienced

acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine first hand. Dedicated to becoming an

acupuncturist she moved to Toronto to attend the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese

Medicine, graduating with a Diploma of Acupuncture and is now a licensed practitioner.

Sage is additionally certified in cosmetic acupuncture and is adept at treating digestive

health, MSK issues, and women’s health. During her treatments she implements

different modalities such as acupuncture (dry needling), cupping, guasha (scraping), and

facial massage. Sage is passionate about everything she comes in contact with whether

it's the health of her patients or her latest crafting hobby. Sage is excited to be back in

Uxbridge and can’t wait to start helping the community she loves!

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Denise Cheung obtained her Doctor of Naturopathy (N.D.) degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). She has also completed a 3-year Diploma of Acupuncture program at Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (OCTCM). She is a licensed naturopathic doctor and a registered acupuncturist in Ontario who is dedicated to assisting her patients in improving their health and well-being.  Her experience and education can provide the highest quality evidence-based naturopathic care to meet the needs of her patients.   Her ultimate goal is to empower her patients with the medical knowledge and motivation to take care of their own health. 

Dr. Cheung specializes in Men's and Women's Health, Fertility, Skin Disorders, Hormonal Balance and Pain Management. She also sees patients for other general health issues. Her services include diet and lifestyle counselling, the use of supplementation and botanical medicine, physical therapy and acupuncture.  Dr. Cheung is also certified in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and has extensive knowledge and experience in the application of natural facial treatment.
